Location

Lau’s Getaway is located in the warm and welcoming village of Avatele, just a short 10-minute drive from Niue Airport, as well as the capital and main town of Alofi. Lau’s Getaway is on the right-hand side of the road, about 200m past the entrance to Avatele village.

Culturally, Avatele is synonymous with traditional Niuean fishing, and every day locals paddle out to the bay in their vakas [traditional canoes] to catch fresh fish. Avatele is also known for its friendly people, local handicrafts, breathtaking scenery, and peaceful atmosphere.
